Lamar Valley - Christmas Day 2009

I took this shot Christmas Day on the frozen river bed at the confluence of the Lamar River and Soda Butte Creek in Yellowstone Park's Lamar Valley. I was surprised by the lack of wildlife out and about - I saw several coyotes and one bison, but that was it! I decided I'd have to shoot some landscapes if I wasn't going to go home empty-handed. Shot with my tripod-mounted Olympus E500, 1/60 sec at f11.
