Grizzly South of Tower Falls, Yellowstone National Park

As I create a photo book with some of my favorite pics, I'm uncovering a few in the archive that I've not posted here previously. This Griz was working his way across a wildflower covered hillside just south of Tower Falls in Yellowstone when we spotted him. We drove ahead a few yards, turned out, and he walked right to us. I shot this from the safety of my car at 113mm, f4.2 for 1/60 sec. I'm not a wildlife photographer, so this shot was pretty rare for me. We spend a lot of time in the park; I hope I get a chance to take another closeup of a Grizzly sometime soon. This isn't a perfect shot, but I still think it's pretty cool.
